Cant Espiritual (The Spiritual Chant) is the supreme work of Valencian poet Ausiàs March, a complex, delirious prayer, ripe with passion and honesty where the poet openly shows his weaknesses.
Carles Dénia translates March’s verses into 21st century language with an assorted musical palette that ranges from jazz, to flamenco, Mediterranean music… all with great rhythm. Dénia is backed by six outstanding musicians in a show that also includes dance performances by fantastic Karen Lugo.
The show, which lasts 70 minutes, is pure passion. Carles Dénia stunned critics and audiences alike with his musical and expressive talent. Originally a jazz musician, has achieved a renovation of different styles of Mediterranean music.
