La selva sin amor

The old Lope de Vega, far removed from commercial playwriting, immerses us with this brief musical drama, composed in the style of Rinuccini’s Dafne, in an archaic world where he plays with the mythological and the human to achieve love between nymphs and shepherds. The lack of the original musical score has led composer Carlos G. Cuéllar to rewrite a new one, inspired by the works of great Florentine humanists such as G. Caccini, J. Peri, A. Piccinini, V. Galilei.
